Warwickshire has a fantastic fostering team with a Good Ofsted rating. We are countywide and have links with Fostering Network to support us and our foster carers. We recruit foster carers, assess them, supervise, and support them offering Warwickshire foster carers outstanding training and support. We also have an SGO (Special Guardianship Order) support team. About the Role

You will be joining a team where your work will be child focused, analytical, and based on safeguarding evidence. We are looking for a permanent part-time Team Manager for 22.5 hours per week.

The role of the Supervision and Support Team Manager is a key position and a lead role in our Fostering Specialist Schemes. You will join three other Team Managers who are responsible for the management of Social Workers and oversight of foster carers. This role will provide management oversight for in total 5 workers, 2 experienced social workers, a newly qualified social worker and 2 part time fostering reviewing officers.

If you have ambitious standards and have management experience or equivalent this is a rare opportunity so if you are thinking of applying, do it now, we would like to hear from you. We will require you to have a full understanding of Fostering National Minimum Standards. You will be a qualified and Social Work England registered social worker.

Key Requirements

  • To manage a team of Supervising Social Workers.
  • To manage a high-quality fostering service ensuring that comprehensive support services and robust supervision is provided to all foster carers.
  • To supervise and manage a staff team, providing support, supervision and advice.
  • To take responsibility for ensuring that the agency's policies and procedures are properly implemented and monitored by social workers and that agency practice complies with UK legislation and the UK National Minimum Standards.
  • To contribute to Management and Team training and development where applicable.
  • To contribute to strategic planning for the agency.
  • To have oversight of Annual Reviews, Standards of Care Investigations, Allegations, and other identified work ensuring that high standards are maintained and are compliant with agency standards, within agreed timescales as required.
