About This Opportunity
Do you want to lead and shape a fast-paced Lending Operations function for our Business and Commercial Banking (BCB) business, supporting businesses from start-up to £100m turnover as the backbone of our UK economy, Helping Britain Prosper as we digitise, diversify and transform our business?
You'll lead a large team, driving the strategy and ensuring effective delivery of business requirements and client experience.
We're looking for a values-led progressive leader. Someone who can work collaboratively across BCB to ensure effective leadership of our lending operations whilst transforming at pace. You'll be a strong people leader, who will excite and inspire through change, be motivated to resolve business problems and not afraid to challenge
Core Purpose of the Role
Responsible for leading the BCB Lending Operations function, supporting across BCB and collaborating externally with other industry participants: Responsible for the effective management of new business and lifecycle management of BCB loans across all client segments Accountable for the end-to-end Security journey and associated governance, documentation and processes, including the instruction, finesse and registration of securities against the BCB Lending Portfolio Execution of loan documentation for new business and annual reviews across BCB, demonstrating a strong control environment Deliver operational and technical advisory support on transaction execution and lifecycle management for Lending Products Accountable for the maintenance of credit limits, support for annual reviews, financial accounts, covenant monitoring, strike-offs, and adverse media reporting for BCB clients Responsible for the AMC (Agriculture Mortgage Company) Operations business, including the successful migration of the Lending Book to the desired strategic architecture. Working across the end to end, including products, distribution and platforms to support design and delivery of our transformation plans. Key Accountabilities Deliver service performance aligned with Intra Group Agreements (IGAs) and Service Management Agreements (SMAs) Provide the best client experience, ensuring maintenance of operational service levels to meet client expectations as well as effective risk management. Plan the strategic direction of the function to align with customer and regulatory requirements, with responsibility to ensure change investment delivers strategic outcomes and maximises benefits realisation. Ensure compliance with Group policy, guidelines and procedures, quality standards and all regulatory and statutory requirements, and where appropriate take action. Drive and deliver the plan to ensure that the capabilities in the team are what is needed for the future; articulate the skill-based vision of the future and the path to get there, utilising and influencing frameworks and learning opportunities to build and enhance lending capability. Provide outstanding leadership to the team, coaching and storytelling to support colleagues through change.
