Our client, a well-respected Insurance Company, has been consistently named a UK Top Employer for the past three years.

They are looking for a highly skilled Lead Pricing Analyst to join their team in London on a hybrid basis.

The Lead Pricing Analyst will be responsible for planning and executing pricing projects within set deadlines and quality benchmarks. They will play a direct role in shaping the future growth and profitability of the company.

The position entails conducting thorough data analysis using advanced actuarial and statistical methods to propose pricing strategies that enhance both volume and profit.

Additionally, the Lead Pricing Analyst will enhance pricing expertise and fundamental skills within the organization, while also influencing the strategic path of the risk pricing team.


Main Responsibilities for the Lead Pricing Analyst:
- Managing, developing, and mentoring Pricing Analysts and Senior Pricing Analysts.
- Creating, validating, reviewing, and approving predictive and machine learning models.
- Producing and maintaining current and precise datasets for modeling, pricing, and monitoring.
- Developing and managing pricing models and providing support for their implementation.
- Conducting pricing analyses and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Executing rate releases and reviewing rates in live environments.
- Providing a comprehensive view of current and future pricing performance through data analysis and company objectives.
- Documenting pricing decisions and coordinating their implementation across various teams and decision-making bodies.
- Overseeing pricing performance, competitor analysis, and suggesting optimizations for competitive advantage.
- Advising and influencing senior management and department heads.
- Acting as a backup for the Senior Pricing Manager or Manager when necessary, including senior management meetings.

The successful Lead Pricing Analyst should have:

- A degree or equivalent in a quantitative field.
- Experience in insurance pricing or a related analytical field
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., SAS) for data manipulation.
- Familiarity with various predictive modeling techniques such as Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, and more.
- Working knowledge of programming languages like R, Matlab, or Python
- Familiarity with Emblem and Radar software
- Experience in using analytics to solve complex business challenges.
- Strong mentoring abilities for junior staff and skill development.
- Ability to communicate statistical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivation and strong organizational skills.
