About the role

We are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join the BayWa re. Operations Services Ltd team and support the delivery of our Annual Statutory accounts and provide a review and update of existing Finance and Procurement Policies. Based in Edinburgh.What You Will Do
  • Prepare Annual statutory accounts in FRS 101 for two legal entities.
  • Key contact with external auditors to ensure continued progress towards delivery timetable.
  • Review and Improve process for delivery of Annual statutory accounts.
  • Review existing Finance and Procurement policies in conjunction with BayWa r.e. Group Internal Control Standards.
  • Develop a process for managing and updating financial procedures in conjunction with Internal Management System
  • Work with key business stakeholders to ensure financial procedures can be implemented by the Operational business.
  • Support review of existing Tax control framework for Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) reporting.
  • Support on developing reporting templates for Management reporting.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and project support to Head of Finance.
What You Bring
  • Qualified Accountant with experience of external audit processes (audit or client side).
  • Demonstrable experience of policy and procedures review and improvement.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to effectively manage a range of priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a collaborative working style, persuasive and clear communication skills.
  • Flexible skillset and enthusiasm for a varied role.
  • Personable, approachable and calm under pressure.
  • A team player, willing to support colleagues where required.
  • Discrete and able to keep sensitive information fully confidential.
