If you're looking for a Customer Service role with a difference, you've come to the right place. As our Customer Service Apprentice, you'll play a key role as part of our UAL Short Courses Customer Experience and Sales Team, while we support you to study for and complete an apprenticeship qualification in Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 -

This role is a great opportunity for someone who has natural people skills and an interest in learning what makes stand-out customer service. You'll be doing things like:

  • Answering questions from people who would like to book courses, in person, in writing and over the phone.
  • Helping customers who wish to book onto a course, including our tutors and current UALSC students.
  • Providing a service tailored to the individual needs of each customer you speak to.
  • Working flexibly at our various London sites.

The apprenticeship is delivered in a flexible, blended format to allow you to study during working hours and comes with a mentor and skills coach to offer both academic and work-based learning support.

We are looking for people who can listen to the customer, and then share knowledge of our process and courses (and we'll teach you everything you need to know about those). You will also have a desire to learn about things like 'brand promise', creating a customer focused experience, and how to be the best you can be in your role.

About you

There are no prior qualifications needed, but an interest in customer service is essential. If you already have a qualification in customer service, then you will not be eligible.

We are UAL Short Courses

UAL Short Courses (UALSC) is part of the University's department of Academic Enterprise which leads University of the Arts London's commercial educational operations. There are 100 staff and 1,500 hourly paid staff in Academic Enterprise, which is integral to the University's long-term development. Its mission is to increase the amount of income generated by the University from non-core teaching and research activities. It includes several successful existing business operations including UAL Short Courses Ltd, AE International (English Language preparation and Study Abroad) as well as UALAT.
