The PPF is looking for a
Modelling Actuary who is close to qualification or has recently qualified.


The role will support the work produced by the Actuarial Directorate, and the post holder will have a particular focus on modelling which includes design, writing code, testing code, operating models, checking results and analysing outputs.

The post holder will also develop an understanding of the stochastic models that are used to monitor the PPF's financial resilience:
the Long-Term Risk Model (LTRM) and the Economic Scenario Model (ESM).


To apply for this opportunity, we are looking for applicants that have relevant experience of actuarial modelling from within an insurance or actuarial consultancy environment and they will either be studying towards their actuarial qualification or have gained the full qualification.

We are looking for someone that has strong numerical and analytical skills, who is proficient in a high-level coding language (e.g. Python, R, Tyche) and has knowledge of relevant actuarial specialities.
