The Opportunity:

Edinburgh Cancer Centre is seeking a motivated Clinical Research Fellow with experience at Specialty Trainee level in Oncology. This prestigious position is an exceptional opportunity for an aspiring researcher to embark on an original research project leading to a PhD as part of a European research programme in digital patient-centred care.

This post is full-time clinical post (40 hours per week).

Research Project: The successful candidate will engage in an innovative research project tailored towards digital health solutions in cancer care. The specific focus of the project will be mutually defined post-interview, aligning with the strategic priorities of the Edinburgh Cancer Informatics research group and the MyPath Horizon Europe programme [http:/mypath-]. Key research areas may include digital health, epidemiology, health technology assessment, health economics, quality improvement, real world data, and informatics.

Clinical Implementation: The role involves supporting a critical implementation study evaluating the MyPath digital solution for the use case of metastatic breast cancer management, in collaboration with a pan-European team of health researchers, co-led from Oslo University Hospital and the University of Edinburgh.

Clinical Exposure: The fellow will gain practical experience by working in a breast cancer oncology outpatient clinic once a week, supporting the implementation study as well as contributing directly to patient care and clinical research integration.
