Job role
We are excited to offer the opportunity to join our wonderful school and work with our exceptional students. The appointed candidate will be responsible for managing administrative operations within the school, supporting the Headteacher, and contributing to the school's ethos and values. This role aims to maintain a positive image within the school and wider community while providing efficient administrative support.
The successful candidate will have:
● At least 2 years of working in an office environment (desirably a school environment)
● Supervisory or managerial experience (desirably a school environment)
● A good honours degree or equivalent (desirable)
● GCSE in Maths and English (Grade C or equivalent)
● Ability to work in a noisy and busy environment and maintain efficiency
● Ability to manage and organise teams, delegating where necessary
● Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality
● Strong IT, organisational and prioritising skills
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both adults and children
● Experience of working in an education setting (desirable)
About Wilds Lodge School
We are an Ofsted rated Good independent 38 week specialist boarding and day provision for boys and girls (girls are accepted as day students only) aged between 5 and 19 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. We have a person-centred focus, providing each child with a personalised education and care programme tailored to help meet their unique needs. The key to the success of the school is a strong ethos, developed by a highly experienced and capable staff, and the strength of the relationships between the staff and the students.
We are a friendly school where staff are supportive of each other inside and outside of the classroom. We pride ourselves in ensuring all members of staff including our support staff have access to regular training. All our members of staff attend regular training on child protection; mental health and multi-agency working. All staff access a wide range of training on areas of SEN such as Autism, attachment and ADHD.
