Escape Recruitment is working with a manufacturing organisation that is a world and market-leading technology business that offers state-of-the-art solutions to meet their customer's needs and has an opportunity for a Planning Manager.

The Planning Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the production plan to support the three production areas and will mentor and develop a team of Planners. They will work closely with colleagues in the business to build the long-term plan, plan capacity and resolve any issue with production projects. The Planning Team are responsible for the Master Schedule and coordinating demand status from the Sales and Operating plan through to the creation of MPS and Operational plans.

The Planning Manager will drive continuous improvement around the creation and development of the planning process.

Knowledge and Experience required for the role:

  • Proven experience of working in a similar Planning role
  • Experience working in a complex manufacturing process e.g. engineering would be highly advantageous but not essential
  • Experience in leading and mentoring successful teams
  • Knowledge and experience of modern planning practices and procedures
  • Strong communication skills and can build strong working relationships with colleagues
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP Systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Can deal with change and always seeks a solution
  • Passion for continuous improvement who seeks to identify new ideas and implement new opportunities

Our client has a full order book and is investing significantly in the site.

Due to the nature of the role, this is an on-site position (some flexibilty) with an early finish on a Friday.
