Process Analyst
Northampton

As a Barclays Process Analyst, you will sit in the Process Transformation Team, which is responsible for supporting Risk, Finance and Treasury middle and back office functions across the Barclays Group to deliver a simplified data and systems architecture and operating model.

The data strategy follows a process led approach, whereby the Barclays data and systems architecture facilitates the implementation of processes and controls through standardisation and automation.

Barclays is one of the world's largest and most respected financial institutions, established in 1690, with a legacy of success, quality, and innovation.

We offer careers that provide endless opportunity - helping millions of individuals and businesses thrive and creating financial and digital solutions that the world now takes for granted.

At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home.

We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, 'anchor', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours).

Please discuss the working pattern requirements for the role you are applying for with the hiring manager.

Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.

What will you be doing?

  • Translating information created by subject matter experts in Risk, Finance and Treasury(RFT) to capture problem statements
  • Documenting process optimisation analysis required in order to satisfy the business objective and create potential linkages to the portfolio of RFT change initiatives
  • Prioritising work stream requests with business functions and present proposals for resource allocation
  • Baselining delivery plans to build process maps and align data lineage and technology architecture designs to create target operating models
  • Identifying business processes inefficiencies that delay the target end state
  • Ensuring the process design document is representative of how front to back system architecture operates, is in line with Regulatory commitments, cost challenges
  • Acting as 'connectors' and 'influencers' in building relationships with external stakeholders to continuously enhance the day-to-day operating model for change delivery

What we're looking for:

  • Experience of working within an Agile /Waterfall project methodology
  • Experience of process mapping and knowledge of industry standard notation such as BPMN etc
  • Ability to translate business objectives to process transformation strategies

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems through data and process analysis
  • Basic understanding of one or more of Credit /Market Risk, Product Control, Treasury and Finance functions in Banking
Where will you be working?

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997.

This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff.

The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
