Are you passionate about making a difference and improving our Neighbourhoods?

Now is a great time to join Platform, we are a dynamic, forward-thinking social housing business who offer employees an inclusive and supportive environment with excellent benefits and family friendly policies. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a career in Social Housing, as you will have access to fantastic training and the opportunity to develop new skills.

Our Neighbourhood Officers are at the heart of what we do as an organisation. We have a great opportunity for a Neighbourhood Officer to join our Localities team providing a comprehensive housing management service, working with communities and neighbourhoods around Coventry and South Warwickshire.

You will be someone who takes a hands-on approach, helping customers to manage their tenancies and improve our neighbourhoods for everyone. Most of the time you will be out and about in your patch, working closely with customers to promote sustainable tenancies, and developing strong relationships with local communities.

What you could be doing as one of our Neighbourhood Officers:

The Neighbourhood Officer will be responsible for visiting customers providing advice, reviewing tenancies and identifying any problems. You will be regularly inspecting our estates, raising, reporting and monitoring to a successful conclusion any health and safety or safeguarding concerns.

You will also be responsible for playing a key role in developing strong relationships within local communities, working collaboratively with other agencies and Platform colleagues.

Other key responsibilities include managing and investigating tenancy issues such as anti-social behaviour, condition of property, fly tipping or safeguarding concerns. You will also undertake new tenancy sign-ups and accompanied viewings for new homes.

Some things we need from you:

  • Experience of working in the social housing sector, particularly with a background of dealing with tenancy management, ASB and safeguarding.
  • This will be a role well suited to someone with experience of working closely with customers to tackle complex issues.
  • You will be proactive in your approach, organised and have the ability prioritise your time to meet timeframes.
  • You will have excellent communication skills and a customer focused approach, understanding the importance of delivering a high standard of service.
  • This role involves regular travel. A driving licence and use of your own vehicle or alternative means of getting to the required locations is essential.
  • The candidate will need to be located in a suitable area to travel easily around the required location.
  • This role will require a basic DBS check.

Some of our great benefits include:

  • Up to 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) with the opportunity to buy and sell leave
  • Family friendly policies including generous Paternity, Maternity, Shared Parental and Adoption leave plus 3 days paid Urgent Domestic Leave
  • Medicash membership for all employees which includes access to an employee assistance programme, discounted gym membership and exclusive discounts
