Financial Services Regulatory Paralegal - US law firm - London

Taylor Root have partnered with a leading US law firm in their search for an experienced Paralegal to join their Financial Services team in London. This role will be a rolling 6-month FTC.

The Firm

Our client is a large US law firm with offices globally. They are known for their working across multiple corporate specialisms and have built a strong name for themselves in Funds, Corporate M&A and Debt Finance transactions.

The Team

The FS Reg team is well established and maintains a leading reputation in London, currently being ranked highly in the Legal 500. They regularly advise private equity firms, alternative investment funds, fund managers and investment advisers on the regulatory aspects of high-value transactions and compliance matters as well as regulatory issues for investment funds.

The Role

Your role will include the following responsibilities:

Works with project teams in a project management role (for both advisory and transactional matters) including seeking, reviewing, tracking, collating and coordinating input from clients, local counsel, and other parties involved in a particular matter.Liaises with local counsel, clients (internal and external), and internal Kirkland & Ellis teams.Performs factual and substantive research using online and hard copy materials with ease.Assists with the preparation of training materials for internal and external training.Prepares first drafts and co-ordinates the collection of regulatory filing materials such as forms, supporting documents and signature pages.Prepares closing sets ("bibles") documenting projects and regulatory filings / applications.The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will likely have at least 12 months of prior experience gained working for another top city law firm. In particular those who have worked in a regulatory, fund structuring or fund deal execution team at a law firm or within another relevant industry with a focus on financial regulation.
