Birmingham, Birmingham, United Kingdom Counter Terrorism Police Full time

Lead Development Operations Engineer - Counter Terrorism Policing HQ The starting salary is £65,393 which includes allowances totalling £2,841.

The salary is broken down as £62,552 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £66,997 Plus, a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Location: Birmingham Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) depends on a wide variety of technology to protect the nation from threats.

As a Lead Dev Ops Engineer, you'll be part of a transformational team that will fundamentally change the way technical solutions are delivered to operational policing.

It's an exciting chance to shape the new team and implement innovative tech.

If you've got the skills, we've got an outstanding opportunity.

As a Lead Dev Ops Engineer, you'll join a new team of Dev Ops Engineers, working flexibly from home or from our offices in Birmingham or London.

As a senior Engineer, you'll own the Dev Ops pipeline for national systems that underpin CTP operations that keep the country safe.

It's an exciting opportunity to support the development and operation of software.

The goal? To create a world-class function.

Day to day, you'll lead project teams to test and deploy product updates, implement integrations and improve automation and monitoring.

At this level, you'll also deal with issues and act as the technical product owner for the development pipeline.

It means working closely with colleagues to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended.

Meanwhile, the team will support good development processes: managing tools and testing environments, maintaining central code control, upholding development standards and writing software that automates systems.

To join us as a Lead Dev Ops Engineer you'll need a proven track record of creating and maintaining Dev Ops or similar pipelines.

We'll also be looking for a solid background in software engineering or platform infrastructure support.

Finally, you'll need a sound grasp of how testing works within a CI/CD pipeline, including automated testing.

If that sounds like you, you can expect a competitive salary, a Civil Service pension, excellent career development, plus a rewarding role that's unlike any other.
