Teacher of German

We are seeking to appoint a part-time Teacher of German on a permanent basis from September 2024. The ability to teach a second language, preferably Spanish is desirable.

Our Languages department is housed in its own building giving a real sense of team spirit. Traditionally, the school has entered all students for a language qualification. As a result, our EBACC entry and outcome rates are typically higher than both county and national averages. We offer three languages; French, German and Spanish, and so this post represents an exciting opportunity for a linguist to work within a well-respected and dynamic department, and to enhance outcomes for our learners and the school.

We are looking for a positive, energised and creative individual that will lead by example and help to challenge our students to achieve the best possible outcomes.

The successful candidate will:

Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a track record of excellent outcomes Have up-to-date curriculum knowledge and be outward facing Be a passionate and innovative advocate for Languages Be totally committed to improving the life chances of young people Be a KS3/4 specialist in GermanBe team oriented and enjoy working collaboratively We have a full team of Teaching Assistants, and exceptional IT and admin support at Kingsmead to assist you.
