We are looking for a Head of Pricing Enablement - Global Pricing, based in London.
Your Team The Pricing Enablement team is part of the Global Pricing department at Allianz Commercial and is responsible for driving Pricing across Allianz Commercial globally. You will join an international department located across London, Munich, Bucharest, Singapore and New York.
The Impact You Will Have You will lead the Pricing Enablement team to support common Pricing Insight, Processes and Standards across Allianz Commercial Global Pricing. This person will need to collaborate internationally with various stakeholders, both within Global Pricing and across other Allianz Commercial functions.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
- Lead the development and maintenance of regular cross line of business pricing analytics, building a strong connection of other technical and actuarial teams.
- Coordinate Global Pricing processes that require project management, actuarial consideration and input into the Allianz Commercial Financial Planning and Reserving processes.
- Oversee the delivery of the Allianz Commercial delegated authority profitability analysis and support ongoing case pricing reviews where necessary.
- Support the development, maintenance calibration and use of the case pricing tool used for pricing direct and delegated authority business. This involves ongoing refinement and maintenance of the tool and any methodology, benchmarks, or calculations therein.
- Ensure a consistent pricing approach is developed across Allianz Commercial by pursuing common pricing methodology and governance across Global Pricing, while developing relationships with risk and governance teams where applicable.
- Establish an excellent working relationship with the Pricing Leadership team. Successfully collaborate across the wider Underwriting, Finance and Portfolio Steering teams.
- Understand market developments globally and ensure that loss trends and relevant benchmarks are understood and reflected in pricing activities.
- The role would require someone who is driven by a combination of building strong relationships and a focus on project delivery for technical actuarial topics, which would typically be associated with an experienced qualified P&C Actuary.
- At least 7+ years of relevant General Insurance Pricing or Actuarial experience.
- In-depth knowledge of P&C insurance spanning multiple types and lines of business, including case pricing experience.
- Proven track-record of delivering strategic actuarial projects based on quantitative and qualitative analysis, preferably in an underwriting setting.
- Experience in pricing a variety of risks based on experience and exposure metrics, using a range of statistical methods and approaches.
- Experienced in the development of strong end to end actuarial solutions, from problem definition to full analysis to development of actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret data and analytical results, and to communicate this to audiences with differing levels of technical understanding.
- Strong data visualization skills, with the ability to build a compelling story from the data with clear insights and recommended actions.
- Extensive Excel skills, some Python, VBA and SQL preferable.
- Partnering mentality with the ability to build strong working relationships with peers, management and the business areas.
- Experienced in communication of results to a variety of stakeholders including board members.
