Role Overview:

JD Group have recently opened a brand new DC in Derby to support the ongoing strategy and growth within the group. We are looking for individuals who love to train and inspire others and are passionate about ongoing learning and development within a fast paced environment.

This role will help to deliver the Operational statagy through the training team by supporting the management on site by ensuring the training department are aligned to the business needs.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Deliver high quality classroom and practical training for novice drivers on all MHE used on site i.e., Counterbalance, PPT, wide straddle etc. Be the MHE expert on shift to provide on-going information, advice and guidance to drivers and members of the management and Health and Safety teams Ensure that all MHE refresh are completed Supporting with any MHE onsite incidents Responsible for the standard of MHE operatives on site Responsible for MHE awareness and Health & Safety on site Completing Monthly audits on current drivers, looking at best practice and continues improvement in standard of operators Support the People Development Manager in achieving required shift performance through delivering specific training initiatives to individuals and groups Conducting site inductions, setting new starters on T&A system Develop & implement the operational capability of the colleagues through training and coaching across our new DC Liaise with People Development Manager, People Development supervisor and operational managers to manage delivery of the training plans through effective organising and planning Be a role model for standards of safety, product care and Key Performance Indicators; communicating these standards effectively to the site Support operational project delivery through facilitating training resource required for projects and effective delivery of operational training To be a part of regular site Trainer Meetings to share best practice and discuss ways of improving the overall site training provision Maintaining site SOPs and training documents Ensuring compliance by maintaining Training Matrix / records Working within the operational areas as and when required To build relationships with stakeholders and communicate effectively and be the face of JD The role is required to be flexible and adaptable as and when instructed by the People Development Manager Values/Behaviours

Previous FLT experience within a warehouse environment is desirable. RTITB Instructor - desirable (training will be provided for the right candidate) Demonstrates excellent communication, influencing and partnering skills MS office skills is required Ability to solve problems when arise Be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team Experience in working within a DC environment preferable but not essential Possesses a growth mind-set, high levels of resilience and able to work within a fast paced and growing environment Proven track record of design and delivering learning activity, which is digital first and focused on performance development, aligned to business objectives Ability to flex working hours and areas as and when required Experience in driving counterbalance Reach and PPTs We know our employees work tirelessly to make JD Sports the success it is today and in turn, we offer them some amazing benefits:
