The Management Accountant role is pivotal in providing financial support to a leading non-profit organisation, ensuring the efficient operation of the finance department.

Their operations are primarily based in London, and they foster an environment that encourages growth and development.

Description

  • Preparing the monthly financial accounts ensuring financial integrity & statutory compliance.
  • Manage monthly balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and deferred income; ensuring discrepancies are recognised and resolved.
  • Monitor and analyse the accounts; producing financial reports and statements.
  • Work closely with the budget holders providing financial analysis and review of the management accounts.
  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits.
  • Support the Head of Finance in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • Full ACA, ACCA, CIMA accountant
  • A background in Business Partnering, Management Accounts preparation and strong analytic skills.
  • Exceptional excel & technical accounting skills.
  • An ability to analyse the accounts, spot variances and provide clear progressive solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills & a strong ability to break down financials to non financial stakeholders.
