The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Public Affairs Assistant to join our busy Public Affairs team. The successful candidate will play an essential role, supporting across a dynamic and diverse range of activities. It's an exciting time to be joining as we continue our award-winning Future Skills campaign in a general election year.

Alongside this, you will support on external stakeholder and community engagement, including correspondence, visits, and events, as well as working across other key public affairs priorities. Our stakeholders are just as varied as the projects we work on, ranging from internal colleagues to political and business influencers and partners at a local, national and international level.

The Person

A highly organised multi-tasker with excellent interpersonal skills, you will be a driven and proactive self-starter. You will have exceptional admin skills and will thrive working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Working with your own initiative, your excellent project management and diary skills will be complemented by your meticulous record keeping, supporting the team's varied and busy workload.

With strong written skills, you will enjoy communicating with our diverse range of stakeholders whilst maintaining a strong focus on attention to detail. You will have the confidence to work with a variety of key stakeholders, including national and international political and business influencers, as well as local councillors and officers, community groups, and residents. You will enjoy a role where no day is ever the same and will enjoy working collaboratively, both with internal teams and external consultancies across key projects.

This is a full time, permenant position with a starting salary of £27,804.00 per annum.
