We have several offices in Central and Southern England and have ambitious plans to expand our business. To support the organisation's growth, we have created a new opportunity for an Accounts Assistant Manager to join our Oxford Accounts team. This is a permanent full time role with hybrid and flexible working options (flexing your hours on different days to suit your lifestyle). The Role Your key responsibilities will include:
Building long lasting client relationships Working on a variety of interesting and complex accounts assignments across multiple sectors, liaising with seniors, manager and partners when requiredUsing a variety of accounting software packages including CCH, Silverfin, Caseware, Alpha Tax, Sage and XeroDeveloping and applying your technical and commercial knowledge Ensuring assignments are completed to a high standard, in time and within budgets agreed with DirectorsHandling a client portfolioReviewing working papers, statutory accounts and management accounts for sole traders, limited companies and partnershipsPreparing and reviewing corporation tax computations Managing own workload in a timely and efficient manner while all the time ensuring we exceed client expectations Taking responsibility for certain management tasks within the departmentSupervising, training and assisting more junior members of the teamSome line management responsibilitiesBuild productive relationships with team members and colleagues at Shaw Gibbs, adopting a collaborative working approach What we can offer you Exposure to a broad range of clients across many industry sectorsHybrid and flexible workingA varied role in a talented and experienced teamJoining a company with an exciting growth plan ahead Plenty of opportunities to increase your technical knowledge and skillsA tailored career progression plan Competitive salary and benefits package including pension, life assurance, health cash plan, retail discount scheme, electric vehicles salary sacrifice, and cycle to work scheme.Generous core holiday allowance plus holiday trading, flexible bank holidays and additional holiday with serviceWellbeing programme with regular events and activities focused on your physical and mental wellbeing.
