Job Description:

The Senior Product Analyst (SPA) drives the experimentation cycle to create insights for improved understanding and decision-making. Collaborating with product managers and other leads, the SPA conducts analyses and makes recommendations to deliver value to our players and business. This role involves working closely with developers, data scientists, operators, designers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end solution delivery and observability.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Insights Generation:

  • Conduct thorough data analysis using statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to product performance and user behaviour
  • Propose data-informed product changes or enhancements to improve user engagement and product performance
  • Monitor product KPIs and user engagement metrics, identifying areas for improvement or optimization
  • Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards for tracking product metrics, ensuring accuracy and relevance of the data presented
Experimentation:
  • Design and analyse A/B tests to evaluate the impact of changes to the product, features, or user experience, making recommendations based on test outcomes
  • Monitor the performance of experiments and provide insights to optimise product features
  • Take ownership of experimentation cycles from start to end, including problem formulation to solution implementation
Opportunity Identification:
  • Identify data-driven opportunities and support product managers with data/tech coordination and analysis
  • Support the product/feature maturity and delivery with evaluation, recommendations, and performance reporting
  • Work on loosely defined problems, providing insights and operational support with light management guidance
High-Quality Analytics:
  • Use knowledge about existing tools, methodologies, and insights to deepen analytical understanding and apply these to different problems
  • Drive KPI creation and focus on business observability
Managing Workflow:
  • Create and coordinate workflows smartly to deliver value continuously and mitigate risk with light managerial support
  • Ensure a consistent volume of experiments and analysis output
Communication:
  • Effectively share insights from analysis with colleagues to enable learning and informed decision-making
  • Communicate results and progress clearly and concisely, drawing conclusions with transparent sources
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Engineers, and Commercial leaders to deliver business impact
Accountabilities (Outcomes):
  • Ensuring product or feature development is supported from an analytical performance perspective
  • Providing insights that increase business performance understanding and support strategy
Key Expectations
  • Identifies opportunities and solutions involving existing technical expertise; drives delivery and coordination with technical teams.
  • Knows the limitations of tools, methodologies, and insights and proposes solutions to resolve those limitations.
  • Knows and promotes standards and best practices for the business.
  • Supports the team by onboarding and coaching new members.
Desired requirements
  • Master's degree or relevant work experience in mathematics, statistics, or an analytical field
  • Experience working with data using SQL and adept in visualisation tools for information visualisation and presentation
  • Academic or working experience with programming principles. Practical experience with an analytical programming language such as R or Python is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with some or all of the following: data visualisation, statistics, product design cycles, and experimental design
Bonus skills
  • Experience with project management, digital product delivery cycles, and best practices implementation
  • Leading the technical delivery of end-to-end solutions and observability in collaboration with product management and data science
  • Experience with data modelling and machine learning techniques
