The Lancashire Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) provides expertise in the design and delivery of feasibility studies, evaluation trials, complex interventions, and other well-designed clinical intervention studies. Applied Health Research hub (AHRh) is undertaking significant investment in the development of Lancashire CTU and the recruitment of staff with relevant clinical and/or research expertise. We are looking for enthusiastic professionals to join the Lancashire CTU which manages health related trials for UCLan, external organisations and international partners.
We are looking to recruit an Information Systems Assistant to support and provide assistance in the setting up and maintenance of research information management systems for the Lancashire CTU.
The Information Systems Assistant will be required to administer, maintain and build forms, queries and reports for a range of research-related information management systems. REDCap (a web-based electronic data capture system) will be utilised to a significant degree as part of this function.
The post holder will have experience working in a database development role, experience of using Excel or equivalent at an advanced level and work experience in using structured methods to deliver professional and robust solutions. Database modelling abilities, analytical and problem solving skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Experience working in a database development role and knowledge of health-related IT systems are desirable. The post holder will have A-Level in related subject (e.g., computer science or IT subject).
