About the role
The post-holder will be an experienced researcher with a psychology or related degree. The post would be particularly suitable for someone seeking a career in clinical research or clinical psychology. Strong support for personal and professional development will be available.
In the role, you will also be responsible for assisting with recruiting participants, liaising with key study stakeholders including GP practices and participating in intervention delivery activities.
Key duties include conducting and analysing qualitative interviews with study participants, collecting quantitative outcome data, contributing to report writing, providing administrative support and assistance to ensure the successful completion of the project and undertaking any other duties appropriate to the grade, as directed by the programme manager.
The appointment is available immediately and is funded until the end of 2025 in the first instance. Any offer of employment will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
About you
The postholder will be employed on a NIHR funded programme of research.
Postholder's duties will include working with other staff on the preparation of materials for study set up, including co-production of the digital intervention and developing study documentation.
You will be expected to work both independently and as part of a research team. You will possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as a high level of computer literacy, along with strong organisational skills and a flexible approach to demanding situations. Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and of ethics and research governance would be an advantage, as would experience of research in a clinical setting, knowledge of research data entry packages such as REDCap, and experience with mobile apps in research and remote assessment of research participants.
