Credit Controller

The company is a leading services provider in their field, offering bespoke solutions to their customers.
They offer hybrid working and flexi-time on completion of the probationary period, as well as a friendly atmosphere.
The Credit Controller is responsible for ensuring that the payment of customer invoices is within agreed payment terms.
In addition, they are responsible for the identification and avoidance of aged debt and exposure whilst ensuring high quality and service to customers.
As a Credit Controller working as part of an established team, duties will include:
Reconciliation and management of accounts ensuring adherence to credit termsMaintaining proactive contact with customers to ensure invoices have been received, are accurate and clear for paymentSpeaking to customers in advance ensuring that payments are ready to be issued on time and in fullOn-going audit and analysis of credit limits to mitigate the risk of exposureSet up new customer accounts accurately, in detail, and before the first invoice due dateMake recommendations for legal action to collect monies owed if necessaryCommunicating and managing customer repayment plans as agreed with the Credit Control ManagerTake ownership of complex account problemsUse judgment and act upon it to recognise where advice and support is needed to resolve account problemsRaise & process credit requestsCandidate requirements for the Credit Controller position:
Ideally, you\u2019ll have previous experience in credit control, although candidates with strong customer service experience and the desire to train in credit control will also be consideredConfident communication skills and an excellent telephone manner to speak to customers who owe money on their accountExcellent numeracy and literacy skillsStrong customer service abilities and an understanding of query ownership and resolution.Analytical, target-driven, ability to work to strict deadlines, proactive and an effective negotiatorHours:
Monday to Friday, 9.00 am pm (flexi-time after probationary period)Salary:
