The Business
The business has been established over 50 years and has recently moved to the Scunthorpe area, they are looking for a technical sales executive who can have an immediate impact showcasing their drive and determination by growing and developing themselves parallel with the business.
The role
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and penetrate the market effectively
- Promote UK products and solutions to contractors, architects, engineers and other relevant stakeholders within the construction industry
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to their challenges
- Conduct thorough market research to identify target clients, market trends and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and product positioning
- Manage sales pipeline, including lead generation, qualification and conversion as well as utilising the CRM tools effectively
- Develop a deep understanding of UK products, their applications and benefits to effectively communicate value propositions to customers
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and analyses to track performance against targets and identify areas for improvement
Skills and Experience
- Proven track record of success in sales, preferably within the construction or building materials industry.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Trade shows experience
