Solvency II Reporting Manager

On behalf of M&G, AMS are looking for a Solvency II Reporting Manager based in London/Edinburgh for an initial 6-month contract. It is a hybrid working model.

Purpose of the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced accountant to cover a number of the Group's regulatory reporting processes. Coming at a time of external change, we are looking for an individual to support both the ongoing 'business as usual' delivery and the delivery of the PRA's Solvency UK QRTs. As part of Group Reporting, you will work across the Finance Centre of Excellence to deliver the Group's quarterly and annual regulatory reporting to the PRA as well as contributing to the Group's published SFCR.
As a Solvency II Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for:
Supporting the delivery of the new Solvency UK reporting requirements into productionOwnership of the Group's Solvency II quarterly balance sheet consolidation, including review of business unit inputs, eliminations and consolidation adjustmentsManaging the production of the Group's Solvency II quarterly and annual Quantitative Reporting Templates for submission to the PRATesting and the delivery of the new Solvency UK reporting requirements into productionProduction of control and review outputs for sign off governance (incl. CFO and Audit Committee level)Supporting the wider team by contributing to technical and methodology papers in relation to the impact on Solvency II reportingWorking collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customer outcomes and a reduction in M&G Plc's operational risk
What we require from the candidate:
Qualified Accountant, preferably with experience of working within a life and pensions organisationKnowledge, expertise and experience in regulatory reporting - Solvency II is essential, knowledge of the new Solvency UK requirements beneficialExperience of the production and delivery of consolidation processes in a life and pensions or other financial services organisationExperience of involvement in change managementExperience of managing a small team would be advantageous
