Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Business Analyst to join our team as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Solvency II and Insurance Data Mapping. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organisation's compliance with regulatory requirements, driving the design and implementation of key reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Reporting: Lead the development and enhancement of Solvency II regulatory reporting processes, ensuring compliance with the latest regulatory standards.
- Insurance Data Mapping: Oversee and refine the mapping of complex insurance data to meet regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy and consistency across reporting systems.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including Risk, Finance, and IT departments, to gather requirements, provide insights, and drive decision-making processes.
- Project Leadership: Manage and deliver key projects within the regulatory reporting space, from inception to completion, ensuring that all deliverables meet the required standards and timelines.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all regulatory reporting processes, data mappings, and system configurations.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a significant focus on Regulatory Reporting within Financial Services or Insurance industries.
- Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Solvency II regulations, insurance data mapping, and financial reporting standards.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, data mapping tools, and reporting systems (e.g., SQL, Excel, BI tools). Experience with regulatory reporting software is highly desirable.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Proven track record of identifying problems and developing innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CIMA) are a plus.
