AI & Analytics Pre-Sales Lead - UK&I

As we continue in our quest to accelerate growth Cognizant is looking to hire a Pre-Sales Lead with deep knowledge in Data, Artificial Intelligence and Analytics (AI & A) solutions. Using your strong consulting and Solution Development experience you will help our clients define their analytics and AI strategies to leverage the vast amounts of data available and convert them into meaningful insights to improve revenue goals and drive business process efficiencies.

Your overall objective is to support clients in their Data, Artificial Intelligence & Analytics transformation journey and help them move from a data driven business to an insight driven business.

Job Summary

The Pre-Sales leader is a technical expert who can consult clients and market teams on deals and credentialize and differentiate Cognizant by virtue of experience, technical acumen, and ability to translate business problems into solutions that generate business outcomes. The primary focus for this position is on sales / P&L growth of the business which is achieved by seeking new opportunities at existing clients or via new client acquisition. This role requires the ability to work as the lead AIA partner to the MCU teams for the UK & Ireland geographies

Responsibilities:

Commercial Leadership:

  • Work with MCU (sales and account) teams in executing select account penetration strategies that will lead to profitable P&L growth
  • Credentialize and prioritize deals with customers though deep subject matter expertise and experience in specific markets (industry/geo)
  • Engage senior clients through workshops/digital dialogues/demos/PoCs to explore opportunities and better define the desired business outcomes
  • Listen to and understand customer needs through customer discussions and market research
  • Act as the champion for driving the AI&A business in UK & Ireland

Solution Leadership:

  • Support customers in imagining how proposed solution can support and improve their business
  • Work closely with solution architects to provide expertise, prioritization and context required for the solutioning phase
  • Communicate solutions to the customer in a compelling way
  • Develop case studies from past engagements and be able to provide expertise on solutions and how they can be applied to the unique customer use case
  • Develop solution proof of concept if necessary and demonstrate the solution or proof of concept to the customer
  • Shape deals by working with customers mapping desired outcomes back to offerings and capabilities
  • Focus on how the Cognizant solution will be a true "value-add" and sufficiently differentiated from those of our competitors.

Practice Contribution:

  • Share innovative proposals and client work with offering teams to support offering evolution and creation of delivery collateral
  • L1 escalation point for the industry commercial team by coordinating resolutions with the delivery teams (onsite/offshore delivery) and use his/her relationships (when possible) to influence a positive outcome for both clients and Cognizant
  • Collaborate with experts in other service lines, consulting and the UK & Ireland teams.

Experience

  • Deep technical experience in the Data and Analytics area, with applicable market standard certifications, Lifesciences and Healthcare industry experience is preferred.
  • Minimum extensive years in senior leadership, with experience working directly with clients
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and shape technical solutions to business problems and to manage a large P&L portfolio
  • Strategic problem solving ability to understand business challenges and requirements from the customer's perspective, as well as industry trends, and translating them into solutions that generate business results
  • Technical prowess: Deep technical expertise to bring together practice offerings to address customer needs, and to create proof of concepts if needed, as well as credentialize solutions
  • Executive Presence: Effective executive communication skills to clearly articulate solution vision and demonstrate solutions in a simple but compelling way
  • Industry and business knowledge: proficiency in one or more client industries as it pertains to specific technology use cases, understands how relevant technology is being used by Cognizant clients today
  • Relationship management: Outstanding interpersonal abilities; skilled in managing relationships with customers, as well as internal sales teams, Market teams, and other practice experts
  • Commercial knowledge: Ability to analyze sales opportunities and qualify leads and opportunities across the UK & Ireland portfolio
  • P&L acumen with the ability to zero in on those opportunities that will provide current and future practice profitable growth.
