Purpose

Our Pharmacy Area Managers will be responsible for the management and performance of between 10-15 pharmacies, visiting each branch a minimum of once every two weeks.

You will build capable & competent teams to deliver the best community pharmacy experience, focusing on delivering the KPIs and budgets, ensuring patient safety, and that quality and standards are delivered across all branches.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Scope
 Train branch colleagues and setting up action plans/KPIs to deliver exceptional standards
 Work alongside head office leadership to successfully deliver business plans
 Drive branch performance, Rx growth, services delivery and OTC sales growth
 Lead Health & Safety compliance across the area and ensure regular compliance checks are completed in line with standard operating procedures
 Accountability for controlling costs and developing a high level of financial control within your area team
 Work with Pharmacy Managers and Pharmacy teams to develop operational excellence and share best practice
 Develop robust and consistent performance management across the area to embed learning & development initiatives
Delivering Outstanding Services
 Ensure that branches meet the GPhC standards & NHS contract standards
 Ensure that the teams actively promote and deliver all NHS and private services.
 Ensure all complaints & incidents are reported, resolved or escalated as appropriate.
 Actively build & maintain strong relationships with the local healthcare community.
 Ensure that your teams actively offer tailored advice & products for prevention, treatment and wellbeing to patients & customers.
 Lead and negotiate enhanced income contracts for your area
High Performance Team
 Recruit and train high potential candidates to build motivated and capable team
 Actively manage performance through effective coaching and feedback in addition to formal reviews
 Ensure that everyone in the area is clear on their roles and priorities through regular, clear and effective communication
 Develop your own skills and competence to build an environment of ongoing learning for all team members

Knowledge and Skills
 Experience of multi-site operations
 Graduate calibre, preferably with qualification in Pharmacy field
 Understanding of the pharmacy sector and NHS contract/GPhC standards
 Strong commercial and analytical skills
 Excellent communication, coaching and feedback skills
 Strong track record of leading, motivating, and inspiring teams that achieve KPIs and targets
 Strong planning and organising – able to manage conflicting priorities and allocate resources effectively
 Strong IT literacy – Outlook, Excel, Teams
 Full valid UK driving licence

Salary:
Starting from £30,000 and upwards based upon experience and qualifications
