Role Overview

Axon Moore are proud to be supporting an excellent, growing business in the north Leeds area which does tremendous work, helping and supporting society across their numerous sites around the country.

In a newly created role, you will hold an ACA/ACCA qualification and be looking to use both your commercial and technical finance ability to support the Finance Director.

We are looking for a stand out management accountant with the right character and attitude to deal with a fast-paced, challenging, yet highly rewarding working environment.

This role would suit someone who is ambitious, driven, with excellent communication and relationship building skills; specifically it would be highly beneficial if the individual had experience of preparing the management accounts within a multi-site organisation.

Location: Otley

Salary: up to £55,000

Responsibilities
  • Accurate and efficient preparation of month management accounts for multiple sites across the business
  • Business partnering with key stakeholders across the sites to ensure timely and accurate accounts and reports are produced to help and support business decisions
  • Report variance analysis to each of the sites and SMT
  • Monthly Teams / Zoom review meetings with individual unit managers to discuss the accounts and draw attention to certain trends and anomalies
  • Balance sheet monthly reconciliations including inter-company reconciliations
  • Monthly journals, preparing and inputting
  • Cashflow forecasts
  • Salaries analysis as well as ad hoc analysis to support SMT with strategic business decisions
Person Specification:
  • Work history within a management accountant role or similar position with notable experience with preparing monthly accounts to strict deadline
  • It would be highly desirable if the monthly accounts preparation had been done for a variety of sites / units / cost centres
  • Qualified ACCA/ACA
  • Confident user of Microsoft excel skills – exporting data, using pivot tables and filters to interrogate data
  • Specific Sage 200 experience (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and team working skills
