We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to join us

This is a full-time, permanent role and a salary of £22,216 per annum. The post is suitable for job share.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Facilities Assistant to join our Facilities team.

The Role:

As a member of the Council's Facilities team, you will report to the Facilities Supervisor and help to deliver effective and customer-focused services to both staff and visitors at various Council buildings throughout the Borough.

Your role will involve:

  • Staffing the reception desk at the Town Hall.
  • Portering and moving furniture.
  • Mail handling and courier service.
  • Room bookings and preparation of meeting rooms.
  • Identifying and carrying out minor maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
  • Acting as a First Aider
  • Undertaking routine inspections and safety checks and opening/closing of the buildings.
  • Acting as a concierge for weddings and events in the Town Hall, Maidenhead and Guildhall, Windsor.

What we are looking for:

  • You will be working within a small team, as well as having regular contact with external contractors. You must be a team player, with a commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to work flexibly and with minimal supervision and problem solving.
  • Significant experience in a first line customer contact environment.
  • Ability to be trained in First Aid at Work.
  • Experience of manual handling.
  • Clean driving licence and able to drive a council vehicle.
