Job Description: They are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing our financial records and providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory financial reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage payroll processes.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Provide general administrative support, including managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and maintaining office supplies.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure accurate project costing and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar administrative role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
