Job Overview:
Working closely with the group Finance Director (FD) to produce the monthly management accounts for Mick George group subsidiaries.
Responsibilities:
Production of the monthly financial accounts pack including balance sheet reconciliations and journalsProvide detailed support in the preparation of accounts analysisCash flow reporting and monitoringAnalysis and coding of financial transactions for capital expenditure and intercompany processingSupport with the maintenance of management accounting processes and the implementation of authorised changesComplete ad hoc information requests from the finance department or other departments in the company to a high standardBe proactive in obtaining information in order to become a subject matter expert for the relevant businesses including site visits and attending operations meetings. Analysing management accounts and suggesting improvements to the relevant directors. Responsible in assisting with the audit process including gathering information and explaining processes.Skills/ Qualifications:Ability to produce an accurate set of accounts for all group companies. ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualification with a minimum 2 years experience in an accounts production role within a commercial environment.An excellent general knowledge of Finance processes and systems. Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.The ability to read and interpret data in order to present to senior management team. Ability to work under instruction whilst using own initiative where necessaryHighly organised with the ability to work in a pressurised environmentThe confidence and competence to deliver against deadlinesEffective communicator, influencer & relationship builder, with the ability to highlight any concerns or issues with Senior Management.The written communication skills to produce succinct correspondence and reports Ability to identify own development needs Demonstrate best practice at all timesExcellent MS Office skills, in particular Excel formulas and pivot tablesAbility to be methodical and flexible in approach to tasksCommitted to providing first rate service internallyA pro-active team memberAbility to prioritise work and manage own diary - amidst challenging demands on timePractice Trained (Desirable)2 years post qualified experience (Desirable)Knowledge of working in the construction industry (Desirable)Experience of working with group companies (Desirable)Benefits:Competitive salaryCompany pensionCycle to work schemeCompany benefit platformLength of service rewards - enhanced holiday entitlement / access to private healthcare serviceEmployee assistance programme
