Senior Laboratory Technician

• Term time only plus 10 days
We are currently recruiting a Senior Laboratory Technician to assist with the smooth running of the Science Department whilst adhering to all legislative requirements in relation to Health and Safety.
Day to day tasks include co-ordinating and advising on the use of practical resources to meet the needs of the science curriculum, including liaising with teaching staff and support staff outside the Department. You will also line manage two Laboratory Technicians within the team.
This post is a varied and busy role and will require someone who is highly organised, is approachable and willing to deal with a variety of tasks with a 'can do' and flexible approach to work. Ideally you will have a formal science qualification and be able to demonstrate a good technical expertise to support the Biology curriculum. Experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
