About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team at the Copthorne Hotel Effingham Gatwick. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the hotel's facilities are well-maintained, safe, and operational.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair services and equipment within the hotel and grounds
- Follow daily task lists as issued by the Chief Engineer or Senior Shift Engineer
- Carry out maintenance request orders, including plumbing tasks, changing light bulbs, and minor electrical work
- Perform Preventive Maintenance (PPM) in all hotel areas, identifying and rectifying faults in a prompt and efficient manner
- Provide a friendly and professional service to guests when in public areas or bedrooms
- Ensure the care and cleanliness of allocated engineering areas, including the workshop and plantrooms
- Comply with relevant legislation, including Health & Safety Policy and Fire Regulations
- Plumbing and electrical skills are advantageous
- A keen eye for detail and ability to work independently
- Knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace
