Our client is going through an exciting stage of growth and development and as a result, are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join their team.

We are seeking an experienced, degree-qualified engineer with proven success in leading and supporting delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, with a focus on transformational process improvement projects.

They will be capable of working on multiple projects at any given time, skilled at multi-stakeholder negotiation, to ensure the timely and financial delivery of discrete projects and comfortable liaising with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers

The successful applicant will assist the Company by delivering a range of transformational process improvement projects across the business, as part of the ongoing site investment strategy, through project management of design, construction, installation, testing, inspection, commissioning and handover activities.


MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working as part of a team to ensure that all activities on site are carried out in accordance with the relevant work instruction, adhering to the necessary Company health, safety and environmental requirements and complying with all regulatory current legislation to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Ensuring that installation of all transformational process improvement projects meet the necessary company health and safety requirements, complying with current legislation to maintain a safe working environment for employees.
  • Execute CAPEX projects across all functions assuming responsibility for project delivery throughout the project lifecycle including; engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
  • Construction/Installation/Commissioning – to manage the construction phase in line with regulations and company procedures and produce detailed commissioning plans with the process engineering lead, taking responsibility for the completion of all commissioning activities and snagging/punch list completion.
  • Provide Project Engineering support to Development Lead and Process Engineering Lead where required. Undertake key project management practices – scope management, project scheduling, project resourcing, stakeholder engagement, project risk management, change control and budget control.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive project Engineering / Management experience in a client led environment
  • Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline (Electrical/Mechanical).
  • Formal APM Qualification (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of formal project lifecycle models.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Construction Certificate (desired)
