The Best Connection are currently recruiting for multiple HGV drivers of all categories to work for our clients across East Kent including areas such as Ashford, Canterbury, Folkestone, Hythe and Thanet.

We have flexible options available ranging from 1-5 days per week.

Position Overview:


We are looking for highly skilled HGV drivers for multiple categories including 7.5t, Class 2, Class 1, and Class 2 HIAB.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods for our clients, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.


Key Responsibilities:
7.5t Drivers: Transport and deliver goods using 7.5-tonne vehicles, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and road traffic regulations.

Class 2 Drivers:
Operate vehicles over 7.5 tonnes, including delivery and collection of goods to various locations.

Class 1 Drivers:
Handle long-haul transportation using articulated lorries, ensuring timely and secure delivery of cargo.

Class 2 HIAB Drivers:
Utilise HIAB grab cranes for the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring the safe handling of materials.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Valid HGV licence for the relevant category (7.5t, Class 2, Class 1, and Class 2 HIAB).
Driver CPC qualification and up-to-date driver card.
Digital tachograph card.
Proven experience in the relevant HGV driving category.
Familiarity with the legal requirements and regulations pertaining to HGV driving.
Ability to handle manual tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexible approach to working.
Full PPE and Sat Nav.

Pay Rates

7.5t- £14-£15.50 per hour
Class 2- £15-£16.50 per hour
Class 1- £16-£18 per hour
Class 2 HIAB- £16.50-£20 per hour
