The role is responsible to support the procurement team in operational activities in the country, day-to-day portfolio management, execution of strategies and buying activities in specific portfolio (Packaging/Raw Materials/External Manufacturing) under supervision of local procurement management. This role will be starting at the beginning of October for a 12 month fixed term contract.

Your responsibilities

In summary:

  • The focus will be on 'learning through doing' but with the support of the Procurement team
  • You will gain new skills and experience as part of our Procurement team
  • Fully involved from outset, you will help source the products, materials and services that take leading brands to millions
  • You will consolidate business needs, analysing market capabilities, benchmarking pricing, looking at reducing total cost, participating in supplier selections or assessing supplier performances.
  • You will be accountable for part of a country spend or a commodity. You will report monthly and quarterly financial results (on-going vs budget) and action plans for corrective measures
  • You will implement sourcing strategy of regional sub-strategies, agreed projects and strategies
  • You will negotiate in cooperation with the Manager for project execution or support troubleshooting for service or quality issues resolution
The experience we're looking for
  • A demonstrated interest or background in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing.
  • Degree qualified preferably in Procurement, Finance, Business or other relevant discipline.
  • Ability to work in a truly global organisation. Experience of working in a fast moving and result driven environment is desirable as well as working often under pressure.
  • A foundational grasp of procurement principles and negotiation, with a keen interest in supply chain operations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and open to learning new procurement software.
  • Strong communication abilities, a thirst for knowledge, and a desire to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • A collaborative nature, ready to both learn from and contribute to the team.
