Iconic Resourcing are proud to be partnering with one of the UK's leading Law firms in Scotland as they experience strong levels of growth across the business. As such, we are looking to speak with candidates who possesses strong experience in a Cashier or Finance Assistant role for an exciting Legal Cashier vacancy, based within their Edinburgh offices on a full-time, permanent and hybrid basis.

Our client have went from strength-to-strength in recent years, with revenue increasing by 20% and the addition of almost 100 new colleagues to their team over the last three years. With a solid reputation in the legal industry of providing client excellence, and placing their people at the heart of the business, this role will allow for excellent career development within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. The successful candidate will sit within the centralised Finance function where they will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Documenting daily financial transactions for clients and the firm
  • Identifying and allocating client receipts
  • Managing office and client payments
  • Issuing and depositing cheques
  • Handling deposit account transactions, including uplifts, lodgements, closures, and new accounts
  • Allocating payments to fees
  • Generating balance reports
  • Reconciling client balances and deposit accounts
  • Investigating residual balances
  • Assisting with additional departmental tasks as needed
  • Utilising various banks' online systems

    What we're looking for

    To be successful in this role, the following experience is required:
    • Strong experience within a similar role (legal sector would be highly advantageous)
    • Ability to work well within a fast-paced environment
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Ability to prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met
    • Strong attention to detail skills
