Key Accountabilities:
As a Senior Business Analyst supporting transformational activities related to the bank's Asset & Liability Management processes you will work closely with senior business stakeholders in Group Treasury. You will understand the needs of the business and facilitate the definition, agreement, and implementation of product roadmaps to support delivery of transformative business outcomes. You will build & maintain strong and trusted relationships with your business stakeholders and work closely with technology leads across the Architecture and Engineering community. You will identify where and how business and technology processes need to evolve, and the production of supporting high quality, unambiguous, actionable user-stories. This is a hands-on role which will touch all stages of the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management:
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Able to foster close working relationships with technology architects and engineers.
- Experience working within diverse and distributed teams.
- Experience working on Agile deliveries using tools such as JIRA & Confluence to manage business requirements and produce actionable user stories under INVEST principles.
Decision Making & Problem Solving:
- Strong data analysis and processing skills (E.g., SQL, ETL, Alteryx).
- Strong awareness of data modelling, data architecture and data governance best practice.
- Able to leverage appropriate techniques to elicit and document requirements, re-engineer processes (E.g., BPML), and define test cases.
- Able to use robust analysis techniques to evaluate options and drive decision making.
Risk and Control Objective:
- Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, and internal Barclays policies and policy standards.
Person Specification:
Essential Skills:
- Significant experience within Financial Services (Risk, Finance and / or Treasury domains) as a Business Analyst familiar with Waterfall and Agile methods.
- Able to produce high quality, well structured, concise materials.
- Financially literate (E.g., banking / accounting qualification).
- Technically literate with innovative mindset.
- Familiarity with Asset & Liability Management governance, models, metrics, processes including regulatory aspects (E.g., BCBS368).
- Good experience working on large datasets and exposure to Investment Banking
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
- Recognised Agile qualification.
- Recognised Business Analysis qualification.
