Housing Assistant Officer at Harrow Council

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with role-related responsibilities outlined in the council's health and safety policy.
  • Handle enquiries professionally (in person, writing, or by telephone) within corporate timescales.
  • Maintain the highest standards of customer care.
  • Support tenancy and leasehold issues, collaborating with partners and service providers.
  • Assist in database management and rent collection system maintenance.

Experience and Skills:

Understanding:

Familiarity with service delivery, government policies, legislative frameworks, and key issues related to housing tenancy management, including equality considerations.


Legal Knowledge:
Working understanding of housing and public sector legislation.

Maintenance Awareness:
Knowledge of basic repairs and maintenance for homes and estates.
