As Social Media Lead you are responsible for our local social media strategy, and act as our subject matter expert on social media and influencers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social media, creativity in content creation, and excellent communication skills.

Your Tasks

Ownership of Social Media & UGC for NIVEA UK and NIVEA Men UK

  • You will have ownership of all that we do on organic and always-on social media, including a media budget to generate reach.
  • You will manage everything from briefing, to creative, to copy, to scheduling, alongside our digital agencies.
  • You will report on performance, share learnings with the business, and act as our subject matter expert for the UK.
  • Our main channels are TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, but you will have opportunities to influence new channels as they come.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the NIVEA UK TikTok Shop, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
  • Work closely with the Digital & Media Team, Brand Team, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and integrated marketing efforts.
  • You will manage Squarelovin' (our UGC collection tool) – managing the flow of content, review what we're tagged in, and scheduling high quality UGC into our social calendar.

Manage the NIVEA Family

  • You will manage the relationships within the NIVEA family and keep engagement and momentum through the group as well analyse the outputs through sentiment analysis, audience reach and reporting.
  • You will also integrate them into wider campaign planning, brand launches, TikTok Shop, and social content.
  • Regular reviews of current Nivea Family members and continual recruitment of new members through social media to ensures we have an engaged community that are producing exciting content around our products.

Budget Management

  • Manage the AO Budget and any cost activities for social.
  • Precise budget management for the digital team.

Manage Agency Relationships

  • Manage agency relationship management with digital always on agencies steering to deliver best in class social media content and community management.
  • Manage agency relationship management with influencer agency delivering world class influencer activations. This will be briefed by the brand managers and you will oversee the relationship, ensuring that we get the right value.
  • Challenge agencies to best performance on content, community management, and influencer selection.

European Centre of Excellence

  • We are a lead market for Europe, and one of only 2 markets that work directly with StudioNX to plan, shoot, and create content for social. This is a great opportunity to have a European-wide influence on how NIVEA is activated across all major social channels.
  • Supporting on briefs for NX shoots + attending our dedicated content studio in Hamburg from time to time.
  • Logistics - getting the products to shoot on time.
  • Reviewing mood boards/concepts/model choices.
  • Monthly catch ups with EU and key content markets, sharing learnings/updates etc. Cascading learnings to wider team.

Your Profile
  • Educated within a relevant field.
  • A genuine curiosity and passion for social media. This is where our customers spend their time, so ideally do you.
  • You will have a deep knowledge and curiosity about the platforms, their pros and cons, as well as an appetite to continuously learn.
  • You will be a self-starter and comfortable managing rapid change, particularly with the speed that platforms and the influencer landscape changes.
  • Tenacity and resilience to challenge and influence relationships positively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a strong focus on team and collaborative ways of working.
  • Analytical, results orientated with good influencing and relationship building skills.
