About the Role:
Career Teachers is seeking caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to join our team in Sheffield. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and care to young children in a nurturing and stimulating environment. This role offers an immediate start with flexible shifts, allowing you to contribute to the early development and well-being of children while maintaining a balanced work-life schedule.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the daily care routines of children, including feeding, changing, and nap times.
Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote their physical, social, and emotional development.
Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Support nursery staff in implementing educational programs and monitoring children's progress.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's activities and well-being.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a welcoming and inclusive nursery environment.

Skills Required:

Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting preferred.
Genuine passion for working with children and promoting their development.
Patience, empathy, and a nurturing disposition.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the nursery and children.
Basic understanding of health and safety practices related to childcare.
