What will you be doing?
We are seeking an experienced underwriter to join our Digital Trading team. In this role, you will focus on onboarding new clients and supporting existing clients, with mid-term changes and renewals. You will leverage your expertise to assess risks, determine appropriate coverage, and ensure our clients receive the best possible customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Put good customer outcomes at the heart of every decision.
- Help your team hit customer satisfaction targets for all prospective, new and existing customers.
- Help your team achieve key growth and retention targets.
- Take ownership of customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Analyse and interpret underwriting data to make informed decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Provide underwriting support and guidance to less experienced colleagues.

We are looking for an experienced underwriter who possesses the following qualities:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven experience in underwriting, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Proactive with the ability to work to deadlines and process timeframes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in underwriting, with a solid understanding of risk assessment and insurance principles.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., Certificate in Insurance, Diploma in Insurance) are highly desirable.
- Experience using Acturis desirable.
- Experience and confidence using Microsoft outlook and excel required.
- Strong knowledge of insurance products.
