Exciting opportunity for an experienced Professional Negligence Lawyer in Bristol

This thriving law firm has a superb and rare opening for a bright and seasoned Professional Negligence Senior Associate or CILEX qualified, with a minimum of 4+ PQE in claimant complex litigation, to join their highly regarded team.

Due to the development and expansion of the firm's Complex Litigation Team, it is now seeking to appoint an experienced Professional Negligence Senior Associate to work alongside existing partners and Associates, driving a resilient and varied legal practice.

The ideal candidate will be a Qualified UK Solicitor or Legal Executive with solid technical ability and a strong background in claimant professional indemnity litigation. You will be working on a mixture of complex multitrack and lower value claims and must be able to work with limited supervision, while also managing other team members.

The role includes:

  • Claimant litigation experience essential.
  • Experience in Legal expenses and insurance litigation is preferable.
  • Previous professional negligence experience from either a claimant or defendant perspective is advantageous, but not essential.
  • The ideal candidate will have previous case handling experience, as well as a good grasp of the Civil Procedure Rules and an awareness of the applicable pre-action protocols.
  • Experience of resolving cases via mediation and other forms of ADR would be beneficial.
  • Alongside professional negligence cases, the team also deals with a significant number of property misrepresentation claims.
  • Full or part-time positions available.
  • Office based with hybrid working arrangement available for more senior applicants.
