About You

As a Data Engineer, you play a pivotal role in converting data into actionable insights. Leveraging the latest advancements in cloud computing and AI/ML, we are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineer to join our team at Next Gate Tech. We are eager to welcome individuals who are willing to take on responsibilities such as implementing scalable data pipelines, building data models, and applying the latest techniques to deliver high-performance databases for various applications.

About The Role
  • Apply the latest advancements in data engineering concepts and databases, including generative AI and vector databases.
  • Design and implement data pipelines to extract, load, transform, harmonize, and enrich data coming from various sources.
  • Build data models to support business decision-making and analytics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and develop solutions, taking responsibility for the full software development life cycle.
  • Write efficient and maintainable code to support data pipelines and models.
  • Work on emerging technologies, building highly scalable, secure, reliable and fault tolerant distributed systems.
  • Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate, to ensure the quality of work delivered by self and teammates are in accordance with development standards.
What We're Looking For
  • Degree in computer engineering or a related technological field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages linked to data engineering such as Python.
  • Extensive data modeling knowledge covering SQL, NoSQL, Graph, and Vector databases.
  • Keen to embrace the latest data engineering trends, including advances in generative AI and vector databases.
  • Hands-on experience with data platforms, integration tools, data warehouses, and analytics in a Cloud environment, preferably Google Cloud.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and working in an agile environment is a plus.
