The Opportunity:

This Research Associate position will contribute to the SPEXS project within the Institute for Micro and Nano Systems at the University of Edinburgh, which is funded by Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and in collaboration with colleagues at Universities of Glasgow, Heriot-Watt and Sheffield.

This role is UE07 and is available on a fixed term basis for up to 9 months.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Optoelectronic characterisation of optical detectors
  • Knowledge of FPGA hardware description languages
  • Matlab or Labview interfacing of instrumentation
  • Collaborative working across multiple research institutes
  • Experience with PCB development and electronics hardware
