Job Description

We are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Officer to join our central services team for the new academic year. This role is all year round, full time, Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:00, Friday 08:00-15:30. This role is flexible and we are open to part time applications.

This role is based at our New Line Learning/ Cornwallis Academy offices with some remote working.

The successful candidate will have:


• A minimum of 3 years' experience working with payroll and pensions and ideally experience of working in the Education sector,


• High levels of literacy, numeracy, and financial analysis,


• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to independently organise and prioritise work and manage time effectively,


• Ability to use initiative, meet deadlines and work under pressure,


• Ability to learn quickly, understand detail and translate that to a level that stakeholders can understand,


• Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with people at all , meet deadlines and work under pressure,
