John Whitgift Academy are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join our academy in September 2024 on a full time, permanent basis.
Your new role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will provide supervision of pupil learning within the academy. You will need to respond to questions, generally assist students to undertake set activities and uphold standards of behaviour in the classroom. In addition to cover needs, you will be required to work alongside teaching and classroom-based staff to provide general support for departments. This is a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the academy/school. It is important for you to be ICT literate and competent in using a variety of software packages.

Your new school
How would you like to join a rapidly expanding academy which is heading towards outstanding. Our student numbers are increasing year by year and we are the highest performing academy in North East Lincolnshire and are in the top 4% of the most improved academies in the country. As an academy we are continually building on our strengths and are proud to have the highest of expectations.
We currently have over 900 students on role aged 11 – 16. Our academy is situated close to the A180 making it ideal for commuting. Despite being one of the most rapidly growing academies in North East Lincolnshire, due, primarily to our success and outcomes over recent years, relationships between students and staff are excellent and we have maintained a small school friendly atmosphere.
