Job DescriptionWe're on the lookout for an Investment Specialist specializing in Fund-of-Fund Investments in private markets to join our team and contribute to the growth of our Multi-Asset and Asset Allocation teams. This role involves expanding our multi-asset fund range with a focus on private markets to support the development of our defined contribution (DC) business and provide a wider array of investment options for DC investors.
This opportunity is perfect for a curious individual eager to learn quickly and with a keen interest in multi-asset, private markets, and fund-of-fund investments. We seek candidates with a thirst for knowledge, robust quantitative and investment skills, and a passion for collaborating in a dynamic environment.
The Asset Allocation team integrates LGIM's economic and multi-asset research strengths with portfolio management units focused on various multi-asset product segments.
Within this team, LGIM's Multi-Asset Funds team oversees the management and expansion of our diversified fund portfolio. The team brings together expertise from investment management, consulting, banking, and academia, partnering with pension funds, insurers, and retail clients.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading the development of client pitches and updates for the private market fund-of-fund alongside fund managers
  • Enhancing product positioning by understanding the competitive landscape and DC market requirements
  • Creating top-notch investment, market, and fund content through various mediums, collaborating with the marketing team to bolster the team's brand and visibility, including utilizing content on social media
  • Assisting in producing regular reports and commentary in tandem with other Investment Specialists
  • Maintaining the RFP content management library to ensure top-quality completion of RFPs
  • Serving as the primary contact for specific client and consultant queries, with the chance for direct client interaction
Qualifications
  • Hold a degree in a science, engineering, economics, IT, business, or maths related field
  • Possess experience in the investment sector with knowledge of private market asset classes and fund structures
  • Demonstrate experience in managing long-term projects while meeting daily deliverable standards
  • Capable of producing compelling content with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a creative touch
  • Previous exposure to private markets and fund-of-fund operations
  • In-depth understanding of the UK defined contribution market
  • Experience with or interest in ESG investing is advantageous
