The opportunity:


A brand new role to the Omnis Investments team, supporting the Client Portfolio Manager in bringing to life the Omnis offering.

The Investment Specialist acts as an adviser liaison for Omnis' investment proposition and the key elements of the role are to:

  • Increase awareness and understanding of Omnis investment strategies and principles;
  • Increase adoption of Omnis products and services;
  • To support Omnis' communication capability across its audiences
  • Communicating investment strategies internally and externally with the goal of growing assets under management
  • Deputise for the Client Portfolio Manager (CPM) and wider investment team where appropriate. The CPM needs to trust that the role holder can effectively represent the team's investment and macros views.
  • Help to design and develop Omnis' and OWSL's products and services; and
  • To help Openwork Advisers sell more Omnis products and to retain existing business.

We'd like you to be accountable for:

  • Work on the production of informative, relevant, regular and timely investment communications
  • Work closely with the CPM and Openwork Marketing to produce a regular series of communications including:
Omnis corporate updates.

Market commentaries.

Thematic/strategic messages.

Fund commentaries.

Report & Accounts commentaries.

Adviser key discussion points with Customers.

Investment Performance.

Fact Sheets.

Fund Manager changes, launches, mergers and closures.

  • Represent Omnis at regional Openwork peer groups, Wealth Proposition Councils and large adviser meetings.
  • Help coordinate Omnis webinars, national and regional conferences/meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with the Openwork Marketing team to ensure Omnis fund and promotional materials meet Advisers' and Customers' needs.
  • Actively support the CPM with reporting to required committees
  • Respond to all Adviser and Customer performance related queries.

What will you need to succeed?:

Qualifications/

Experience

  • Investment background in Asset Management
  • 34 years' experience in a product/investment specialist or investment communications role, ideally across various asset classes
  • Strong communication skills. Able to present to large and small audiences
  • An excellent written communicator able to produce Customer communications using the appropriate tone and language.
  • A good understanding of Financial Markets and economic theories.

Knowledge

A good understanding of:
- investment strategies, techniques and instruments
- different asset classes across equities, fixed income and alternatives

Omnis Investments are a specialist investment company whose investment funds are available exclusively through Financial Advisers that are part of The Openwork Partnership - one of the largest personal financial advice networks in the UK with over 4,400 financial advisers, based in nearly 700 firms, and supported by 600 colleagues in central teams.


Omnis is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority ("FCA") and is the Authorised Corporate Director to the [UCITS] Omnis ICVCs, and the operator of 26 sub funds.

In this capacity Omnis conducts various activities that are regulated by the FCA. Omnis operates a largely outsourced operating model and utilises best of breed partners to conduct its day-to-day activities.

However, Omnis retains accountability for any outsourced activities and oversees the contracted third parties, utilising agreed Service Level Agreement deliverables, reporting, data analysis and trend analysis, all serviced through regular and collaborative relationship management.
